Sara
She said eat garlic when you feel like you’ve got a cold
And herbs will aid your memory even when you’re feeling old
There’s something that will pick you up whenever you are down
There’s someone I know, and you’ll see him around
And she pretends like she’s different and snides at those she sees
Sniffing powder in the toilet then dropping to their knees
But she knows it’s just inside her, trying to get out
She’s tried so hard to hide it, to stop us finding out
Bought up in London, around people just the same
Who just laugh at the ignorance of those who wouldn’t play her game
In the school that cost her Daddy thousands so he knew she’d be alright
Her pocket money bought the capsules, that keep her up all night
And to men she’ll play the innocent and smile at their will
Take lifts in their Mercedes Benz and let them pay the bill
And wonder when it’s rumoured that she’s anything like they are
Just because she takes their money, won’t make her go that far
Now she’s heading off to India just for a culture change
But she’ll be home soon for some home comfort and a little bit of loose change
That’ll pay for her enjoyment of a night out on the town
To help plantations in Columbia, that’s her justification now
St Anne’s place used to be the centre, now it’s at her whim
She doesn’t want to be associated with the desperation that comes from within
She could stop whenever she wants but she’ll always just give in
It’s like a deeper plain of living until the emptiness kicks in
